Dog Dies 15 Minutes After Owner Loses Eight-Year Battle With Brain Cancer

In an instant, that would melt the stoniest of hearts to butter, Nero, a dog belonging to 25-year-old Stuart Hutchison, died 15 minutes after his owner’s death. Mr. Stuart Hutchison, a resident of Aloha (Scotland), had been fighting a brain tumor for the past eight years.

He and his wife Danielle were the proud owners of three French bulldogs, Nero, Nala and their pup Amelia.

“He had three dogs, but him and Nero were like one man and his dog,” Ms Conaghan told theDaily Mirror.

Mr. Scott was initially diagnosed with a brain tumor and underwent a series of surgeries and a few rounds of chemotherapy.

This had considerably reduced his suffering. He had married his wife, pharmacy assistant Danielle, and the couple decided to adopt a pair of dogs.

Though Mr. Scott was initially declared healthy, he started developing sudden discomfort. On being taken to the hospital, his mother and wife were distraught to find that the cancer had spread to the bones of his arm. Despite several rounds of chemotherapy and medication, the cancer had spread to his spine and pelvis.

During that entire time, Nero was loyal to his master and always remained by his side. Nero supported his owners through the entire cycle of treatment and hospitalization since his induction into the family. By late June, Mr. Scott’s tumor had become aggravated.

He experienced another bout of brain tumors. Despite the doctor’s best efforts to help him, Scott could not be helped.

Mr. Scott then returned to his home under the care of his mother and wife along with his dogs. He fought valiantly until the end.

Due to complications arising from the cancer, Scott passed away on August 11. Scott’s mother, Mrs. Fiona, reported that in spite of his valiant efforts, Scott had passed away at 1:00 pm. Soon, the loyal Nero was also hospitalized after being taken unwell. At 1:15pm, Nero died due to complications of the spine. Master and dog were united in life and even in death.

This further strengthens the idea that “dog is man’s best friend”. The true joy of life is when you share every moment of your life with others and contribute to their happiness. Scott has been described by the people who knew him as a strong and lovable person. In the darkest days of Scott’s short life, Nero was able to bring in light.

Now, Scott’s wife Danielle has to cope with the passing away of two beloved members of their family.

This small incident shows the immortal and everlasting bond that exists between a human and an animal.

Anyone who has owned a dog in any part of their lives will always remember the unconditional love their pets show for them.

Some people believe this is because the dog knows that the owner is the source of its food. But dog owners around the world will beg to differ otherwise. The bond between any man and his dog is a beautiful one.
