According to the Adoption Network, around 135,000 children in the United States are adopted each year.
Although that is a staggering number that brings up the broken system to ‘bad’ light, hearing all the beautiful adoption stories does restore our faith in humanity.
Only a couple of days ago, proud 5-year-old wanted to share his adoption hearing with his friends, so he decided to invite the entire kindergarten class to the ceremony.
Visibly over the moon, Michael Orlando Clark Jr shared his special moment surrounded by his forever family and his ‘closest’ friends who held bright red hearts on wooden sticks to celebrate the love in the room.
According to James Stark, a Grand Rapids reported, there wasn’t a dry eye in the courtroom.

Probably the cutest story you will ever see. A kid who’s being adopted invited his ENTIRE kindergarten class to attend his adoption. @wzzm13 pic.twitter.com/tb9WC4tjVO

Even the Michigan Supreme Court took to Twitter to congratulate the family, writing: “So glad he got to share his special day! #AdoptionEqualsLove”.
As if this wasn’t the ‘good news of them all,’ the positive vibes kept coming as Clark was one of 36 other beautiful children who were also adopted in Kent County as a means of celebrating the 23rd annual Adoption Day.
To top it off, Santa Clause also made an appearance at the event and made sure everyone got a jolly greeting and blessing for a long and happy life!
