Dog Waits 4 Years In The Same Spot Until He Finally Gets Reunited With His Family

We are accustomed to hearing stories about dogs who have traveled cities, countries, and even continents to reach their families.

Contrary to this, a lost dog waited at the same place he got lost for four years. The dog loved his family so much that he waited near the gas station he got lost almost every day.

The family of Leo, whose original name turned out to be Bonbon was unintentionally left out of his family, while on a family trip.

They had forgotten the exact place where their dog went missing. They searched for Leo as much as they could but gave up when he could not be found. On the other hand, Leo, aka Bonbon, never gave up hope.

Four years ago, Leo got lost after his family’s car pulled up at a gas station. The family was oblivious to Leo’s absence, and they went on their way. Leo had no clue as to why his family had suddenly abandoned him. Still, Leo was determined to wait any number of years for his loving family.

Seeing him wait here for long, many passers-by tried to help him and adopt him. Though he would accept their food gratefully, he wouldn’t be cajoled into going home with them. One such person, Ms. Saowalak, fed Leo often and even tried to take Leo to her home. But Leo was obsessed with going to his spot and escaped every time. Fed up with his antics, Saowalak tried to feed Leo as often as she could.

Leo’s true savior arrived in the form of Anuchit Unchaeron, who took to social media to showcase the dog’s plight. He shared several photos of poor Leo and explained how Leo had been waiting at the same spot for over four years. The owners of Leo found the post and got into contact with Anuchit.

They then visited the spot and found that Leo was none other than their own Bonbon. They also described the lengths they went to find Leo, but no avail. Surprisingly, Leo didn’t seem to want to leave with his old family. Despite being overjoyed to see his family back, Leo was quite unwilling to leave.

Respecting Leo’s bizarre decision, they decided to leave him with Saowalak. Before leaving, the family decided to pay for Leo’s care and treatment in the future.

This incident may probably strike a chord in the memory of movie fans. That is because it has a lot of similarities to the one portrayed in the movie Hachi.

Stories like this bring out the love and loyalty which dogs have in them. Humans, with all their superior intelligence, lack these qualities sometimes.

Maybe this is because of the simple thought processes of dogs who love and like to be loved. The greatest pleasure of owning an animal is the unconditional love, it shows to its owner.

Many special bonds can be made in the course of our lives, but the bond a man makes with his dog is truly a unique one.
