Dust mites are small microscopic bugs that can be found in beds, carpets and furniture, feeding on human dead skin cells, and can cause severe skin irritations, allergies and asthma.
According to research, four out of five homes are found to be dust mite infested.
If you suspect to have dust mites in your home, the most common indicators are red watery eyes, runny nose, constant sneezing, itchy nose and throat congestion.
People suffering from asthma, experience difficulty breathing, chest pain, wheezing and are especially prone to colds.
One of the easiest ways to keep the dust mites at bay is regular cleaning, dusting and vacuuming (using a HEPA filter), but even then dust mites can be hard to get rid.
Fortunately, the following recipe will destroy the dust mites for good!
What you need:
-20 Drops of Eucalyptus Oil
-2 Cups of Distilled Water
Mixed the two ingredients and spray it all over the areas that are not easily accessible or cannot be washed regularly. Open the blinds and aerate the rooms, as humidity is an ideal condition for dust mites to thrive, and also the UV rays from the sun can eliminate the dust mites.
It’s important to mention that eucalyptus oils is not safe for children under the age of 10, and can be harmful to pets. In this case, use alternative essential oils such as clove or funnel.
