During summer months our body tends to sweat a lot causing a uncomfortable odour as well as making it a perfect target for various fungal infections. If you suffer from excess sweating on your feet, don’t worry, you are not alone.
Many people around the world suffer from this condition, and is the primary cause of feet fungas; however, few know that apple cider vinegar will help in treating this issue.
ACV is one of the handiest items in the households, and its potent antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal qualities make it a perfect natural remedy in the treatment of allergies, body odour, dandruff, and Candida.
According to Doctor NDTV:
“Though it has a distinct aroma that can be intolerable for certain people, its health benefits by submerging your feet in it, exceed this disadvantage by a lot. We know that our feet have a lot of germs in it and suffer from a lack of oxygen as they are covered all day by our shoes or socks.
This can be very damaging for our feet as it can lead us to have dry feet, asperities, calluses and other fungal infections. The use of apple cider vinegar can kill the fungi and microbes responsible for the bad odour in our feet.”
The following procedure will show you how to use it to detoxify your body and take proper care of your feet:
Bad Odor
To get rid of the bad odour of the feet, soak them in a bowl with two parts of water and one part of apple cider vinegar for 5 minutes a day. You can also add a few drops of thyme essential oil or baking soda into it to counterbalance the odour.
HealthLine advises:
“In addition to soaking, lifestyle choices are important to consider when treating foot odour. For example, try wearing shoes made of leather or canvas. These allow your feet to breathe, unlike shoes made from plastic materials. Also, wear breathable cotton or wool socks. When you’re at home, go barefoot.”
Toenail fungus
The potent anti-fungal qualities of apple cider vinegar will help you combat toenail fungus. Combine one part of apple cider vinegar and two parts of water and soak the feet in the liquid for 15 minutes. Repeat this procedure for 3-5 days.
Warts and calluses
The apple cider vinegar‘s acidity will help you fight off warts and calluses. Fill a basin with hot water and soak your feet for around 5 minutes. Later, dip the feet in apple cider vinegar for 15 minutes, and dry them completely afterwards.
Dry feet
Put your feet in apple cider vinegar for 45 minutes to exfoliate the skin, treat the dry areas, and soften them, then, gently scrub the dry areas with a pumice stone and moisturise them.
Athlete’s foot
Combine warm water and apple cider vinegar in equal amounts, and soak the feet for 10 minutes a day. Repeat this procedure for ten days
Tired and achy feet
After a long working day, combine a cup of ACV, a cup of Epsom salt, and one cup of sea salt. Add some hot water, and soak the feet in it. To relax and soothe the pain, repeat this procedure for three days.
If you do begin to experience unpleasant side effects while soaking your feet in the apple cider vinegar mixture, it is essential to wash your feet immediately with water and soap.
