Salt, Pepper and Lemon Work Better Than Any Medicine

January 16, 2019 By Mike Thurstone

Pepper, salt and lemon are not just simple spices used in cooking – they can also be used as a remedy more effective than many medications available today!

Numerous people around the world use these foods to treat various conditions. They are a cheap and effective alternative to multiple medications and even work better in some circumstances.

Here are some of the uses of salt, pepper and lemon:

Sore throat

Mix a tablespoon of fresh lemon juice, half a teaspoon of black pepper and a teaspoon of pure organic sea salt in a glass of warm water, then drink the mixture to relieve your sore throat and cough.

Stuffed nose

Combine equal amounts of black pepper, cinnamon, cumin and cardamom and crush them until you get powder, then smell it gently – it will make you sneeze and gradually relieve the problem.

Remove gallstones

Gallstones are formed in gallbladder due to concentrated deposits of digestive fluids. Gallstones can be painful and can also block the digestive system. The only effective method is a surgical procedure, however, some people treat gallstones with natural remedies such as the following: combine three parts of olive oil with 1 piece of black pepper then consume the mixture to help dissolve gallstones.

Canker sores

Combine a tablespoon of Himalayan pink sea salt in a glass of lukewarm water then swish it in your mouth after meals to heal canker sores effectively.

Weight loss

Take a mixture made of ¼ of a teaspoon of ground black pepper, two tablespoons of lemon juice and a tablespoon of organic honey in a glass of warm water to stimulate your metabolism and burn fat.

Nausea

An upset stomach can be relieved by using black pepper, while the tangy lemon scent can stop nausea. Mix one tablespoon of lemon juice with a teaspoon of black pepper in a glass of warm water, then take it until you feel relief.

Asthma attack

The following mixture will come in handy if anyone in your family has asthma. Mix 10 grains of pepper, two clove buds and 15 basil leaves in a small cup of boiling water, then simmer the mixture for 15 minutes before straining it and pouring it into a jar. Add two tablespoons of honey in the end and let it cool down. Keep the mixture in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. You can take it with milk for better taste.

Toothache

Prepare a mix of half a teaspoon of ground pepper and clove oil to lessen your toothache. To prevent a toothache, you need to take better care for your overall oral health. Floss and brush regularly and avoid overeating sugary and acidic foods.

Cold and flu

Mix freshly squeezed lemon juice in a large cup of warm water, then leave the pulp and peel steep inside the mixture for 10 minutes before removing them and adding a teaspoon of honey. This fantastic mixture is one of the best alternatives for relieving colds and flu.

Nosebleeds

Apply a small quantity of lemon juice on a cotton ball and place it in your nose to stop nosebleeds. Remember always to tilt your head forward to prevent the blood from getting into your throat.
