People Who Cry During Movies Are The Strongest People Of Them All

February 1, 2019 By Mike Thurstone

During our lives, we are constantly encouraged to suppress our feelings. Society finds freedome of expression as weakness. Many people still believe that crying is a sign of weakness and reason for shame.

Yet, crying is our body’s natural way to react to joy, sadness, or pain. Countkless emotions are associated with crying.

As one gets older, we learn to hide our tears and express ourselves otherwise.

There are poeple people who are unable to hide their tears when watching a movie and they are often regarded to be emotionally weak.

But that’s far from the truth! We are here to break the stereotypes. People who cry while watching movies are much stronger than others believe.

More particularly, people who cry during movies are indeed highly empathic and tend to associate with other people. They recognise the feelings of others on an entirely different level.

Empathy is a vital part of emotional intelligence. EQ is an ability regularly found among great leaders and highly prosperous people.

These types of people are exceptionally mentally strong and know how to relate to others and partake in their emotions. They are often more generous and friendly as well.

When you can envision yourself in someone else’s shoes, you will become a more open-minded and sympathetic individual.

Remember Roger Ebert’s words of wisdom:

“We live in a box of space and time. Movies are windows in its walls.

They allow us to enter other minds, not simply in the sense of identifying with the characters, although that is an important part of it, but by seeing the world as another person sees it.”

The next time you feel like crying while watching a movie or see someone crying, keep these things in mind and don’t judge.

Whenever you feel emotional yourself, remember do not try to hold back. Shed a tear and welcome your emotions, you’ll feel much better at the end!
