If you are like most dads around the world, fixing your daughter’s hair would be something foreign for you. Most dads have never styled high ponytails, braided hair of parted pigtails.
However, that doesn’t mean that you can learn to do all those things.
Meet a devoted single dad Philippe Morgese and his Daddy Daughter Hair Factory.
When Philippe became a single dad, he didn’t let his lack of knowledge stand in the way of making his daughter Emma’s hair. He was determined to learn how to style hair ‘just like a mom…’ and he certainly did it!
“I had no clue about how to fix her hair, so I decided to wing it,” Morgese, told PEOPLE.
“Because she already had a full head of hair and it was getting in her eyes, I taught myself how to put in little hair clips, and carried them everywhere in my pockets,” he says. “Then I learned about hair gel, and that was a huge victory. I thought, ‘Wow. Now I can do anything.’”
The very first steps were small, like basic ponytails and hairclips, and later, he jumped onto more complex do’s like French braids and beyond.
Once gathering the necessary expertise, he didn’t stop there. Helped by the International Academy beauty school located in Florida, he was given a free of charge classroom space so he can teach other dads how to do the same.
Besides learning how to braid their daughter’s hair, all the single dads enjoyed spending time with like-minded people and quality bonding time too.
