There is nothing worse than having a dinner only to be disappointed by the dry, bland piece of chicken. More so than not, people struggle to cook a perfect, tender and moist chicken meat, purely because they have never been told of this mistake-free method that helps you get a perfectly cooked meat every single time.
According to The Kitchn, to make tender, juicy chicken, you will need:
-One to four skinless chicken breasts
-Freshly ground black pepper
-One tablespoon of olive oil, unsalted butter, or a combination of both
-Salt
How to:
Step 1: Place the chicken breasts on a cutting board and pound it to an even thickness with the bottom of a wide jar or glass. Use small frying pan if you do not want to use a glass jar.
Step 2: Season the meat.
Lightly sprinkle the chicken with salt and pepper.
Step 3: Heat the pan.
In a large frying pan over medium-high heat, place the chicken to fit in a single layer. When it is very hot, pour the olive oil (or butter, if using).
Step 4: Without moving the meat, cook it over medium heat for 1 minute, until golden. Lower the heat to medium.
Step 5: Turn the chicken breasts, upper side down.
Step 6: Reduce the heat down to low.
Step 7: Cover the pan and continue cooking on low for another 10 minutes. Avoid opening the lid.
Step 8: After 10 minutes, turn off the heat and let the meat rest in the pan for 5-10 minutes before opening the lid.
Step 9: Lastly, uncover the chicken and make sure there is no pink in the middle of it. To make sure it is cooked, use an instant-read thermometer to check — the chicken should be at least 165°F. Slice and eat.
