Have at Least One of These Plants in Your Home – The Real ‘OXYGEN BOMBS’

January 26, 2019 By Mike Thurstone

Indoor plants can be used for a lot more than just a decoration for your home. These plants can also purify the air in your home while reducing moulds and toxins.

When inhaled, toxins elevate the risk of diseases. During winter, we spend our days “locked” in our home, and we do not get enough fresh air. The following is some of the best air-purifying plants:

Ivy
It will reduce up to 58% of the waste particles and 60% of the toxins in your home within six hours after being placed indoor.

Snake plant
Keep it in your bedroom as it delivers oxygen throughout the night and needs just a tiny bit of sunlight for its photosynthesis.

Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera plant absorbs carbon monoxide, formaldehyde and CO2 while releasing oxygen. Researchers confirm that Aloe Vera is as powerful as nine natural air cleaners.

Ficus
This low-maintenance plant eliminates formaldehyde.

Peace lilies
Use this plant to remove air-borne toxins and chemicals such as trichloroethylene and formaldehyde.

Spider plant
It does not require much day-light to complete photosynthesis and eliminates carbon monoxide, styrene, gasoline, and other toxins. This plant has the power to clan 200 m2 of space.

Bamboo palm
Bamboo palm is one of the most potent natural filters for trichloroethylene and benzene. Place it next to your furniture that releases formaldehyde.

Chinese evergreen
Keep it in the room as it gets even more powerful over time. The Chinese evergreen does well in low-light and grows berries, too.

Pelargonium
It destroys bacteria, eliminates unpleasant odours and moths avoid it. Pelargonium essential plant is healthy as it relaxes our nervous system and gives you a nice sleep.

Dracaena
It is a huge plant that reduces formaldehyde, xylene and trichloroethylene. You Should keep it in a bright room away from direct sunlight or draft.

You can also keep some of the following plants in your home, and improve indoor air quality

– Begonia
– Chrysanthemum
– Gerber
– Tree of life
– Azalea

According to researchers at NASA keep at least 17 plants in an area of 500 m2. If you live in a home of 80 m2, you need 3-4 plants. It is easy. Do not forget to keep one of these plants in your bedroom.
