Artist Turns Old Farm Equipment Into Mind-Blowing Animal Sculptures

December 15, 2019 By Mike Thurstone

Artists regularly make the most impressive works of art out of items that we usually see as worthless. What would be an ordinary object to anyone else could quickly become something artistic in the hands of a person with vision.

“One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.”

Meet John Lopez, an artist who transforms old farming equipment into some of the most mind-blowing creations you have ever seen.

He collects scrap metal from the local farms, which are some of his biggest supporters, and builds sculptures that resemble animals or abstract art.

“I collect the iron from local ranchers and farmers I knew as a kid,” John said. “My family and friends are more than happy to help out… I get my ideas from my life, the ranch, our history here, the animals around our area.“
