A witty craftsman and dog owner Andrew Taylor from New Zealand decided to build a ‘stick library’ for his dog Bella and other local furry friends, using the dead branches he collects from the park where they walk every morning.
His simple yet useful box is complete with engraving, as well as rounded and smoothed sticks that the dogs can pick up and play at the entrance of the park.
Andrew only hopes that as in the case of a real library, the sticks would be used and returned once finished playing with it.
His daughter Tayla Reece, who works as a pet sitter, proudly posted her father’s design online.
Our dog Bella loves a good stick, but there were no good sticks at our new dog park in Kaiapoi. So my wholesome dad made a stick library so all the doggos can enjoy a good stick.
