There is a multitude of different games with which we spent our children’s days, me and my cousins, such as jump on the trampoline, climb our favorite tree, our favorite swings, or anything else that could play our childlike imagination.
Because of the wonderful moments that we have spent together, today as adults, my cousins have great importance in my life, and they are not just some relatives, but very important comrades without which I cannot imagine my life.
Cousins are of great importance because they were present first in all important moments of celebration in our lives as children, whether it was family reunions, birthday parties, or perhaps Christmas celebrations. For this reason, cousins have such a big and significant role in every child’s life, although many people cannot understand the connection that I have with my beloved cousins.
What is the reason why cousins are so important?
Parents need to understand the importance that when organizing family gatherings, they should always bring their children so that they can get to know their cousins and relatives because friendship and laughter among children creates a powerful and unbreakable connection. I’ve always been sad when one of my cousins were supposed to go home after a whole day playing together, and I thought how nice it would be to stay forever with me and be my sisters.
But cousins need us for the difficult moments in our lives, not just in the good days. Just in these days when it’s the hardest for us and when we’re hopeless, the cousins are those who stand side by side with us and helping us overcome those days. That unconditional love that gives us helps us to regain the smile of our faces, and again to have hope that everything will be fine.
It can be said that cousins understand almost all of our actions as they are very close relatives. For that reason, they know best what our human values are and are always here to listen to our problems and to calm the tensions that we have with some other relative.
No matter how far our cousins live, every time we meet, we feel like we were never separated because we know each other very well. It’s a friendship that lasts for the rest of our lives, and it’s a pity that all our cousins do not live near us.
Cousins should be present in the lives of children
Do not wait and tell and show your cousins how much you love them and how happy and grateful you are in each moment with them. So parents do not hesitate, make it possible for your children to socialize with their cousins more often, because it is undoubtedly a friendship for which your children will be grateful after they realize how much their older or younger cousins mean to them.
