Most of you have probably never seen a flower that looks like a hummingbird, and many would argue that they are not real! However, these green bird-flowers actually exist in nature, and they look spectacular!
The photo of this unusual flower was first shared on Reddit, and other Redditors were quick to jump into conclusions about its authenticity.
One user (who obviously knows a lot about flowers) took on the challenge to explain and answer all the questions regarding these unusually looking flowers.
Its Latin name is hard to pronounce, so people instead made up names such as green birdflower or regal birdflower. They are native to inland northern Australia, growing mostly in a sandy place along beaches and sand dunes. The green birdflower was used by Aboriginal people to treat eye infections.
