How to Reduce the Blood Pressure Naturally

February 10, 2022 By Mike Thurstone

Interested in how to reduce the blood pressure naturally ? There are a lot of measurements and a lot of options for stress relievers, but there is no need to get confused. We have put together a list of some simple yet effective ways to help you reduce your blood pressure without going under the knife.

The pressure exerted by blood against the walls of your arteries is what causes your heart to beat. This pressure is a normal part of the body’s response to the demands of life: the need to move blood to the vital organs, such as the brain and heart, and away from the less vital body parts, such as the skin. To help maintain a healthy blood pressure, the body works hard to keep the pressure constant. This includes the body’s response to changes in the outside world, such as exercise or stress. Unfortunately, this means that if you do not keep your blood pressure within a healthy range, the pressure will creep upward and you may become more vulnerable to stroke, chest pain, heart attack, and other health problems.

How can you reduce your blood pressure?

1. Exercise! Cardio workouts will get your heart pumping harder and increase blood flow throughout the body. By exercising regularly, you will not only lower your blood pressure, but improve your cardiovascular health as well. For an added bonus, include weights into your workout routine – this will help strengthen bones and muscles while improving balance and coordination!

2. Stress Relief! Yoga or meditation not only feel really good, but also reduce stress. When you are under a lot of pressure, your body produces large amounts of adrenaline, which speeds up your heart rate and causes blood vessels to constrict.

3. Get lots of Vitamin C! Increasing vitamin c intake can help lower blood pressure. This includes citrus fruits such as oranges and grapefruit, strawberries and many other fruits and vegetables high in the nutrient.

4. Chill Out! Make time for a relaxation break throughout the day – try meditation or breathing exercises that will allow you to release any built up tension from stress or anxiety that is causing your blood pressure to rise.’

5. Forget the Salt! Rather than reaching for the salt shaker to add flavour to your food, look for ways to add flavour without sodium. Avoid processed foods, and try cooking from scratch using fresh ingredients to make sure you get the essential vitamins and minerals your body needs while reducing your sodium intake.

In short – feel better, look better! Start living a healthy lifestyle today!
