Soak Your Feet in Apple Cider Vinegar Once A Week To Treat 4 Conditions

February 27, 2019 By Mike Thurstone

Did you know that apple cider vinegar has amazingly versatile uses and offers many health benefits?

This not so pleasant smelling potion can lower blood sugar levels, helps with weight loss, stop the growth of bacteria, lower bad cholesterol levels and clean our skin.

Due to the polyphenols, ACV is a rich source of antioxidants and is also high in acetic acid, which enhances the absorption of essential minerals in the body and breaks down food easier.

When buying one, always opt for raw, organic, unfiltered apple cider vinegar that contains a thicker material on the bottom of the bottle known as “the mother”. This strong natural creation has potent anti-bacterial and fungal fighting properties.

List of common issues where you can use ACV:

1. You should dip the feet in a bowl of water and 4 cups of apple cider vinegar for around 15 minutes, to destroy the bacteria that cause the bad odor.
It will also detoxify your body.

2. To get rid of warts, add apple cider vinegar to water and apply it using a cotton ball for 20 minutes every night. This will make warts to fall off on their own.

3. Add a few drops of raw, unfiltered ACV onto a cotton ball and dab onto the affected areas to relieve itchy skin, bug bites, relieve sunburns, poison ivy.

4. Apple cider vinger is excellent for fighting dandruff and preventing further growth of yeast and bacteria. Combine ¼ cup apple cider vinegar with ¼ cup water, and spray the solution on the scalp. Leave it on for 15 minutes and than rinse your head under warm water.

According to Rachael Link, MS, RD:

“Apple cider vinegar has also been shown to treat acne and reduce scarring. Certain strains of bacteria often contribute to the development of acne. Vinegar is well-known for its antibacterial properties and has been shown to be effective against many strains of harmful bacteria.

ACV also contains specific components like acetic acid, lactic acid, succinic acid, and citric acid, all of which have been shown to inhibit the growth of Propionibacterium acnes, the specific strain of bacteria responsible for causing acne.

These beneficial components may also reduce scarring. A study in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology showed that treating acne scars with lactic acid for three months led to improvements in the texture, pigmentation, and appearance of treated skin as well as a lightening of scars.”
