Natural Homemade Magnesium “Chill Pill” Gummies Perfect For Insomnia, Anxiety And Stress

January 30, 2019 By Mike Thurstone

Sadly millions of people around the world face difficulties falling asleep at night or experience some form of anxiety or stress, and they turn to sleeping pills, which can cause various side-effects.

Luckily, there is a new natural option that can help in fight of insomnia, and relieve anxiety and stress.

Magnesium is a versatile mineral, required for diverse bodily functions. It relaxes the muscles, reduces stress, and naturally aids you to fall asleep.

Michael J Breus Ph.D. says:

“ I talk often with my patients about the importance of magnesium, and its critical—and sometimes under-recognized—role in sleep and overall health. I’ve seen many patients benefit from increasing their magnesium intake, through diet and supplements. It’s not uncommon for people, especially women, to have less-than-optimal magnesium levels.

Because magnesium plays such a widespread, critical role in the body—it’s one of the 24 essential vitamins and minerals—low magnesium levels can throw many of the body’s functions off course, and raise risks for chronic health problems.

Healthy magnesium levels protect metabolic health, stabilize mood, keep stress in check, promote better sleep, and contribute to heart and bone health.”

Furthermore, he explains:

“Insomnia is a common symptom of magnesium deficiency. People with low magnesium often experience restless sleep, waking frequently during the night. Maintaining healthy magnesium levels often leads to deeper, more sound sleep. Magnesium plays a role in supporting deep, restorative sleep by maintaining healthy levels of GABA, a neurotransmitter that promotes sleep.”

In adition, “Magnesium also plays a key role in regulating the body’s stress-response system. Magnesium deficiency is associated with heightened stress and anxiety. Recent research indicates that magnesium deficiency can negatively affect gut health and is linked to anxiety behaviors.”

When combined with gelatin, magnesium gummies will fight inflammation and relax the body. Here is how to make these natural and magnesium gummies and treat these health problems:

Ingredients:

5 tbsp magnesium citrate
3 tbsp organic gelatin (powdered)
1/2 cup lemon juice
1 tbsp organic sweetener (maple syrup, honey, stevia)
A pinch of sea or Himalayan salt

Preparation:

Combine the magnesium powder and the lemon juice and when the mixture starts foaming add a tablespoon of gelatine powder. Next, pour the broth into a pot, add the gelatin, and mix.

Over low heat, warm up the mix to melt the gelatin, and add the salt and honey.

Do not overdo it with your whisk to prevent foaming again, also cook until you get ¾ cups of the liquid. If you need more liquid you can add more juice.

Lastly, pour the mixture into moulds or a baking tray and put it in the fridge for around 30 minutes.

Keep the gummies in an airtight container stored in the fridge.

You should take up to 5 gummies daily, but if you have never had magnesium supplements before, begin with a smaller dose and build it up to 5.
