Affordable DIY Foot Spa To Repair Dry Damaged Feet

May 22, 2019 By Mike Thurstone

With the summer, the sandals come too. Many people avoid wearing them just because they are ashamed of their feet. We all know that we rarely nurture our feet compared to other parts of our body. Moreover, why should we? We don’t have to wear sandals…

Maybe this is true, but it isn’t just right. Every week or maybe twice a month we have a facial, we try to find the perfect cream for our face and hands. Nevertheless, we somehow forget our feet or maybe think they are not necessary because they are covered most of the time.

We all spend much time for having our nails manicured, our hands soften, our hair done. Most often, we choose the best treatments and the most expensive ones. However, once again, our feet and toes are forgotten. Like all parts of our body, they have to get something too. If you can fit it into your schedule, a pedicure is something for which your feet will be thankful.

If you are one of those people who hide their feet by not wearing sandals or flip-flops, maybe it is time to find a low-priced and productive home pedicure that will make your feet look as they are continuously pampered.

By doing this treatment at home, at first, you will save much money and of course much time. You can do it any time you want, as long as you want. You can start with scrubbing your feet; this way, you will clean off the dead skin cells. When you remove these cells, you prevent harness and dullness, and at the same time, you fight bacterial and fungal infections.

“What are the 2 Magic Ingredients and Are They Costly and Hard to Find?”

These two so-called magic ingredients are on your shelf at home – baking soda and milk.

Milk

Milk is an excellent moisturizer for the skin. From ancient times, we have read that Cleopatra nurtured her beautiful skin with milk baths. Not only milk is antiseptic, but it also has Beta hydroxy, a lactic acid.

By exfoliating the skin with this acid, the rich nutrients in the milk (vitamin Bs, D, protein, magnesium, selenium, calcium and potassium) seek deeply into the skin.

Baking Soda

We use baking soda for scrubbing our sinks and tubs, but it may also be used for peeling the tough skin on our feet.

It’s the perfect soft scrubs you may already use for sinks and tubs, but it also helps exfoliate the tough skin on the feet. It has a soothing, antibacterial and antifungal effect.

Baking soda also helps regarding smelly feet. Because it has an antibacterial quality, it neutralizes the smells caused by the bacteria. This is the reason why some people have baking soda in the fridge.

When you join these two ingredients, you get a creamy lotion that will do wonders for your feet.

Ingredients:

  • 2 or 3 cups of milk
  • baking soda
  • good-sized bowl to fit both feet
  • foot-spa-2

How to Do:

① Warm the milk. You can use the microwave oven or the stove. If the size of your container/bowl is bigger use more milk.

② Next, place the warm milk in a bowl/container and soak your tootsies for 5 – 10 minutes.

③ Then, sprinkle some baking soda on one foot and gently rub the rough or thick skin. Repeat the same process with the other foot.

④It is essential to work the mixture into the tops of your feet and ankles.

⑤When you think it is enough scrubbing, you should let your feet soak for 5 minutes or more.

⑥ At last, rinse your feet with warm water and dry them off.

⑦If you decide to do this before going to bed, and you can apply Vaseline on your feet and wear sock during the night. The following day, your feet will be baby soft.
