Have you ever suffered from an earache?
This pain is unbearable for many and it’s very common in children, although it can happen at any stage of life.
Earache generally affects people in different ways. One may feel a burning sensation or ear pressure accompanied by a headache.
Earache can be caused by an infection, injury, blockage in the ear canal, allergies, or colds.
The following is a natural remedy that will help you ease and get rid of earache.
Garlic, for instance, is an ingredient that has been used throughout history not only in cooking but also to treat various health problems. Due to its antiviral, antibacterial, and antifungal properties, garlic has become a traditional home remedy for earaches.
Recent studies conducted with garlic oil have shown that it effectively relieves ear pain and is even more effective than traditional medicines.
You can use garlic as an earache remedy in two ways:
First is by using raw garlic. Use a clove of garlic, preferably organic, wash it, and chop into small pieces. Place one of these pieces of garlic inside your ear (don’t go too deep) and place a bandage over your ear to secure it so it doesn’t fall out. It’s suggested that you let it remain overnight and only take it out on the next day.
Another great way to use garlic as an earache remedy is by making your own oil. Crush a clove of garlic and place it on a spoon and pour some olive oil. Heat up the spoon over a fire and pour few drops of this oil on a small piece of cotton ball. Squeeze the cotton to remove any excess oil and place it inside of your ear while it’s still warm ( test the temperature with your lips). The cotton ball should cover the tip of the ear canal without pushing it too deep.
